Beach Rugby Wales celebrates its 9th year and a new sponsor
A Beach Rugby tournament has received support from the local business community. Swansea-based legal firm Peter Lynn & Partners has become one of the annual event’s key sponsors and will take pride of place on Beach Rugby Wales’ official jerseys.
The event, which takes place on Saturday 26th July in Swansea Bay, will see a host of rugby teams from across Wales go head-to-head. They’ll be plenty of famous faces there too as the male and female teams include current and former rugby internationals.
The event is run by a team of local rugby enthusiasts and relies on support from businesses throughout the local area. The financial support gained from Peter Lynn & Partners has taken the Beach Rugby festival into its 9th year.
“The Beach Rugby tournament gets bigger and better each and every year and is a great event not just for the teams taking part but for the city as a whole,” said Peter Lynn, partner at the established legal firm.
Headed by Ashleigh Walters, the tournament has been proclaimed a ‘Festival of Rugby’ and features on the social calendar of many locals within the area, as well as bringing visitors in from further afield. The event will see 36 teams compete, which has grown from the original 6 teams that took part during their first tournament in 2006.
Peter added: “The opportunity to get involved as a sponsor was too good to pass up and I hope our support can help the event continue for many years to come.”
