Bursary Contribution Strikes a Chord
Peter Lynn and Partners have continued their support of the Abertawe Festival for Young Musicians (AFYM) thanks to an annual bursary they provide.
Now in its sixth year, the bursary has helped support a wide range of up-and-coming musical talent from the local area, and the prize is awarded as part of the annual festival.
“We have been involved with the AFYM concert since 2017,” said Peter Lynn, “and are always blown away by the talent of these young musicians, so we are only too happy to continue our support of the festival and provide the bursary.”
This year’s recipient was talented violinist Sage Taylor, who commented “I can’t thank you enough for your kindness in awarding me this bursary; it enabled me to go to the National Youth Orchestra of Wales’ summer residency. I thoroughly enjoyed the NYOW; I found it inspiring and transformative, and since coming home, it has solidified my ambition to pursue a career as a Violinist in the future! On a personal level, I found the NYOW a life-changing experience, so thank you so much, Peter Lynn & Partners, for providing this opportunity for me!”
