We are proud to announce the addition of another newly qualified lawyer to our firm, James Lewis-Hyndman.

James joins the company and commercial law team after successfully completing his two-year training contract with us which saw him work with our senior solicitors in areas such as commercial litigation, employment law and more.

“I am thrilled to have completed my traineeship and to become a fully qualified solicitor,” said James “and am looking forward to many years working at the firm.”

After studying Economics at Cardiff University before undertaking a law conversion course followed by a post-graduate legal practice course (LPC) at Swansea University, James joined the firm as a paralegal in 2021.

“When the time came to apply for a paralegal position at a law firm, I had my eyes firmly set on Peter Lynn and Partners as they are recognised throughout the region for being a dynamic, forward-thinking practice and I wanted to progress my career at the firm,” James reflected.

After demonstrating the necessary skill set and commitment the firm looks for in paralegals, he secured a Traineeship contract in April of 2022 and since that time has proven himself to be a valuable member of the company and commercial team as senior partner Peter Lynn elaborated.

“James has a keen, analytical mind and has a natural leaning towards company and commercial matters and has proved himself multiple times over the last two years as a lawyer who has the client’s best interests at heart and will go above and beyond to get the best result,” said Peter.

With a bright future ahead of him, James will advise clients on a range of matters, such as:

Non-contentious commercial work:

  • Mergers and acquisitions of companies, management buyouts
  • Sales/purchase of local businesses
  • Protect business clients through terms and conditions of business, shareholder/partnership agreements
  • Also undertake work in Employment, such as Employment contracts, TUPE transfers of staff through a business purchase, etc.
  • Company restructuring of shareholders, succession planning, etc.

Commercial litigation work:

  • Partnership/shareholder disputes within a company
  • Debt Recovery – for individuals or businesses.
  • Contractual disputes and contract enforcement
  • Insolvency work
  • Employment Disputes
