Law Firm Supports Swansea’s Homeless This Christmas
Peter Lynn and Partners are proud to help the homeless in Swansea this Christmas by supporting The Rucksack Appeal Swansea.
Coordinated by team-member Paula Stockley, The Rucksack Appeal Swansea aims to provide Rucksacks filled with essentials items to hand out to anyone who finds themselves homeless or rough sleeping for the first time.
Paula commented, “The appeal has been running since 2016 and aims to collect rucksacks filled with essential items for homeless & rough sleepers. Last year on Christmas Day, we handed out over 16 rucksacks along with bags of other essentials and donated excess items to Ogof Adullum, a drop-in centre open 5pm-9pm every Monday, Wednesday, Saturday”.
The rucksacks contain essential items such as hoodies, hats, gloves, scarves, socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, deodorant, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lip balm as well as a selection box of chocolates.
“I have also collected 13 sleeping bags and new underwear, socks and trousers to give to Ogof Adullum to hand out to those who need them most,” said Paula.
The appeal is not just for Christmas either, explained Paula “We also provided bags containing suncream and other items over the summer last year”.
So far Paula has 16 filled rucksacks & three full bags of extra items to donate to Ogof Adullum and the appeal is something the firm was only too happy to support.
Senior Partner Peter Lynn commented, “We supported the appeal last year, and were only too happy to increase our support this year in order to help the homeless in our city this Christmas.”
