Edward Harris & Neil Jacobi

Peter Lynn and Partners Solicitors, one of South Wales’ leading full-service law firms, is delighted to announce the appointment of Edward Harris as a Consultant Solicitor.

Edward brings with him an extraordinary wealth of experience, having qualified as a solicitor in 1964, continuing the legacy of his family’s legal firm, Edward Harris & Son, originally founded by his grandfather in 1890.

His six-decade legal career includes appearances in the High Court, Court of Appeal, and House of Lords, and his unrivalled knowledge of Common Land and Village Greens law, combined with his vast experience managing Agricultural Estates and Agricultural Land matters, makes him a formidable addition to the team.

Edward’s appointment strengthens the firm’s growing reputation as a centre of excellence for rural, agricultural, and land-related legal matters in Wales.

His insights will be particularly valuable as he works closely with two of the firm’s existing specialists, Neil Jacobi and Catrin Stephens.

Neil Jacobi brings first-hand farming experience and deep expertise in contentious land matters. From disputes involving public rights of way, common land, and manorial rights to professional negligence claims, Neil offers specialist advice backed by years of real-world knowledge.

Meanwhile, Catrin Stephens, a Partner at the firm, leads on matrimonial cases involving farms and agricultural businesses. As the daughter of a farmer, Catrin combines legal precision with a deep understanding of farming families and the often-sensitive dynamics involved.

Her work frequently includes advising on the division of land, livestock, and assets, especially where children may have a stake in the family farm.

Edward’s arrival enhances Peter Lynn and Partners’ ability to serve the agricultural sector, from family-run farms to large estates, with the highest level of legal expertise.

“We are proud to welcome Edward to the firm,” said Peter Lynn, Senior Partner. “His experience, particularly in complex land matters, is unmatched, and he will be a tremendous asset to our clients throughout South Wales and beyond.”
