Peter Lynn and Partners Reaffirm Support of Matthew’s House
Swansea law firm Peter Lynn and Partners Solicitors is pleased to reaffirm their support for Matthew’s House as the charity heads into one of its most demanding periods of the year in 2025.
Located on High Street, Matthew’s House has spent nearly a decade supporting people across the city who are facing homelessness and hardship. Over the years, it has become a vital lifeline for those in need of practical help, stability, and human connection.
Central to the charity’s work is Matt’s Café, a welcoming community space offering hot meals on a pay-as-you-feel basis. With the help of a dedicated team of volunteers, the café now serves more than 300 meals every day.
The charity’s support extends far beyond food. Matthew’s House also provides dignity packs, access to showers and laundry facilities, a community choir, and personalised one-to-one advocacy. Everything they do is driven by a clear aim: to offer compassion, dignity, and meaningful support to anyone who walks through the door.
Speaking about the continued backing from the firm, Thom Lynch, Project Manager at Matthew’s House, said: “We’re extremely grateful to Peter Lynn and Partners for standing with us again. Their support makes a real difference, especially at this time of year when demand for our services increases significantly.”
He added, “Every donation helps us keep our doors open and our services running. For the people we support, that might mean a hot meal, clean clothes, or simply having someone take the time to listen. That kind of consistency matters more than people realise.”
Thom continued: “Homelessness doesn’t have a single cause or solution. This funding allows us to respond flexibly, meet people where they are, and offer support that helps them regain confidence and move forward at their own pace.”
Alongside its frontline services, Matthew’s House works closely with local partners to help individuals facing mental health challenges, benefit issues, and rough sleeping. This joined-up approach ensures people receive the right support at the right time.
The charity has also developed the Hope in Swansea app, a free digital tool that connects users with more than 140 support services across the city. The app is designed to make it easier for people to find help quickly, whether for themselves or someone else.
Peter Lynn, Senior Partner at Peter Lynn and Partners, said: “Matthew’s House continues to do outstanding work for some of the most vulnerable people in Swansea. Their approach is practical, compassionate, and rooted in a real understanding of the challenges people face.”
He added: “As a local firm, we believe it’s important to support organisations that strengthen our community. Matthew’s House doesn’t just provide immediate help; it gives people hope and a way forward. We’re proud to support them again in 2025.”
