Walter Road Property Deal Helps Drive Growth for Long-Established Swansea Investor
A prominent mixed-use property on one of Swansea’s best-known commercial roads has changed hands following a complex transaction led by Ashley Leung of Peter Lynn and Partners Solicitors.
Ashley acted for Kim of Createwood Limited on the purchase of 67 Walter Road, Swansea, an acquisition comprising a ground-floor restaurant, a lower-ground-floor unit and six HMO rooms above.
The deal forms part of Createwood’s continued investment in Swansea, where the company has managed a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial property for 40 years.
Ashley Leung said, “This transaction required careful coordination between several parties. The lease arrangements needed to be completed at the same time as the purchase, while also ensuring the wider commercial objectives of the client were protected.”
“The challenge was keeping all of the moving parts aligned,” she continued. “Good communication and proactive management were essential to keep the transaction on track.”
Following completion, Createwood undertook a programme of improvements to the residential accommodation, refurbishing the HMO rooms and installing en-suite facilities.
The deal reflects Createwood’s continued confidence in the Swansea property market and its long-term investment approach. It also highlights the importance of experienced commercial property solicitors in managing complex transactions involving leases, HMOs and investment property.
Ashley added, “It is always rewarding to support returning clients who continue to invest in the local area. Swansea remains a strong market for well-considered property investment, and this acquisition is another positive addition to Createwood’s growing portfolio.”
